
Participants Needed for a Paid Research Study
Our lab at Tarleton State University is currently recruiting adults for an NIH-funded research study examining how the brain processes pain using non-invasive EEG recording. This study takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. Parking is free, and a $40 gift card will be provided.
Exclusion Criteria

Younger than 18 years of age

Diagnosis of a pain condition other than knee osteoarthritis

Cardiac pacemaker

Pregnant
-
Major surgery in the last year
-
Stroke
-
Epilepsy
-
Select Drug Use:

Benzodiazepines
-
Cannabinoids
-
Opiates
-
Heavy alcohol
-
Recreational drug use
-
Left handed or ambidextrous

WITH Chronic Knee Pain (Osteoarthritis) That Has Lasted for 3+ Months
WITHOUT Chronic Pain (To Serve as Healthy Controls)
To ensure scientific accuracy, we must match participants by age and sex. We are currently seeking adults without chronic pain as follows:
